DISNEY’S BEAUTY AND THE BEAST is the classic story of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped in a spell placed by an enchantress. Features the animated film’s Academy Award®-winning score with music by Alan Menken and lyrics by the late Howard Ashman, with additional songs with music by Alan Menken and lyrics by Tim Rice. The book is written by Linda Woolverton.

The first incarnation of the group Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán began in 1898 as a quartet, and over the decades (and into the 21st century) the ensemble became one of the most important in Mexican music history. For five generations Mariachi Vargas has endured as the quintessential mariachi, appearing in more than 200 films and making numerous recordings.

An irreverent, satirical weekly variety show that aired nationally on public television for two seasons from 1971-1972. Unlike anything ever seen on public television, the eclectic, often controversial series combined humorous skits, drama, musical performances and political commentary in an “experimental” format and was conconsidered public television’s first prime-time hit.
