It is your opportunity to vote and to choose the President and Vice President of the United States. It is also your opportunity to choose leaders at the city and state level. In many ways those that represent us at the local and state level can be just as important as our federal elected officials. This is because much of what governs and provides for us daily is decided at the local and state level through policy and budgets. Therefore, having repre- sentatives that speak and act for the benefit of the people is important.Voting allows your voice to be heard, regardless of how you vote. Itʼs important to read about the issues in your ballot book and about the candidates running for office.The federal election is very important. TheLGBTQ voice is an important voting block to be heard. It is also important for the Latinx and people of color communities to show up in large numbers on November 3rd. The country is divided, and current events point towards a nation that is at a crossroads. Our issues are on the table: Healthcare access, Immigration reform, Ending the HIV epidemic, addressing Police Brutality, funding programs to address inequities in communities such as poverty and housing.In order to vote, you must register to vote.
