Welcome to Dear Paloma—a monthly advice column where love, relationships, and real life meet honesty, compassion, and cultural understanding.
I’m Dr. Nancy Paloma Collins, a licensed marriage and family therapist and relationship expert. For over a decade, I’ve worked with individuals and couples navigating love in all its forms—dating, marriage, breakups, situationships, intimacy, boundaries, and everything in between. I created Dear Paloma as a space to explore the questions many of us hold quietly, sometimes out of fear, sometimes out of hope, and often because relationships don’t come with a manual.
Each month, I’ll respond to a relationship scenario inspired by the real experiences submitted, offering guidance that is thoughtful, culturally grounded, and free of judgment. Some letters may feel light and playful; others may touch on deeper emotional truths. All of them matter.
Let’s begin.
