VOTE: Joe Biden & Kamala Harris
The Trump administration has been a major failure on many levels. Because of this, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris must be elected so as to change the course of these poor federal responses.
The Trump administraton has failed on the Covid-19 pandemic response to the virus that has killed more than 230,000 people already and will probably kill 240,000 by election day. There are about 1,000 people dying each day now due to an upswing in the infection rates. Sadly, we will likely see more than 300,000 die from Covid-19 by the end of the year. This is tragic.
Trump openly disagrees with him and his own experts. Trump mocks the use of masks for the public even as medical experts believe if masks were mandated from the beginning of the pandemic, for everyone, tens of thousands of people would not have died.
A new federal administration is needed to replace those who are not doing their jobs to keep the public safe.
The Trump administration pushed forward a conservative replacement on the Supreme Court after the death of Ruth Ginsberg of Amy Coney Barrett. Many say this will put at risk those civil rights and protections which are so iimportant to Latinx, people of color, poor persons and LGBTQ communities.
The Affordabel Care Act/ObamaCare is at risk because the Trump administration has tried to repeal the law many times. Tens of thousands of poor LGBT people living with HIV depend on the ACA for their medications and medical care. Also, tens of thousands of poor LGBT people use the ACA for PREP, our chance of stopping the infection rates of HIV. Only if the Democrats take back control of all arms of the government can the damage this administration is causing be stopped and righted in a different direction.
Trump campaigned in 2016 on a plan to improve the ACA/ObamaCare with something better. After four years of trying to end ObamaCare with nothing to replace it, this has been an empty promise.
The Trump administration has failed on Immigration Reform and in finding a solution for the Dreamers and other immigrants who are so they can come out of the shadows and fully participate in the American Dream.
The Trump administration has failed on issues of addressing Police Brutality. In light of the senseless killings of black and brown people, this administration has not been able to speak directly to the country to open up a meaningful dialog about the problem. This administration has not been able to provide leadership that could cause local jurisdictions to immediately review their policies for law enforcement and stop the killings.
The Trump administration has failed on the environment. The administration withdrew from the Paris Climate Accord. Take note of the warming weather in California and the wild fires which seem to get worse every year. We are in the midst of global warming and this administrations view is to do nothing.
A vote for Biden and Harris on November 3, 2020 will change the course on all of the above. Vote and call your family and friends and ask them to vote. Volunteer to get the vote out from now until election day.
Go to the polls on Tuesday, November 3, 2020. Bring your friends and family with you. The LGBT community can make the difference.
