From Israel to New York City and now Los Angeles, On Mekahel has never been afraid to reinvent himself. A singer, actor, model, entrepreneur, and designer behind MO Underwear, On Mekahel is entering an exciting new chapter of his career with the release of his latest music project, a vibrant collection of songs that celebrates fun, freedom, and authenticity.
Born and raised in Israel, On Mekahel moved to New York at age 20 to pursue acting. What began as a dream to perform eventually evolved into a versatile career that included modeling, reality television, fashion, and now music.
Although music had always been part of his life, it wasn’t until recently that he fully embraced it.
“Music was always part of me, even as a child,” he says. “I was performing a lot, but I kind of put it aside because of social media. Two years ago, I decided to take the risk and start my music journey.”
That leap of faith has resulted in a growing catalog of songs and the launch of what he calls his “Party Boy” era. His latest single, Dose, serves as the introduction to a colorful new EP that captures his energetic personality and love for nightlife.
“Dose is really a fun night out with me,” On Mekahel explains. “I just want people to have fun and not take themselves too seriously. There’s so much heaviness in the world. Listen to my song, have a good time for three minutes, and enjoy your day.”
The upbeat track is only the beginning. Upcoming releases include Pussy and Boys, each representing a different color in a rainbow-inspired concept that ties the entire project together.
“If people listen to all the songs in this EP, they’ll understand who I am more,” he says. “I hope they’ll stay with me and wait for the whole rainbow to come out so they can see the whole vision.”
On Mekahel credits much of his musical development to collaboration. He writes alongside his husband, who helps shape lyrics and bring ideas to life.
“I bring the ideas and we build everything together,” he says. “He’s my main writer.”
When asked about musical influences, On Mekahel doesn’t hesitate.
“My one and only idol is Beyoncé,” he says with a laugh. “Nobody does it better than her. Dancing, performing, vocals—she’s the greatest.”
Beyond music, On Mekahel is also the founder of MO Underwear, a men’s underwear brand focused on simplicity, comfort, and confidence. The idea grew from his belief that sex appeal doesn’t have to be flashy.
“We’re trying to be the cool version of Calvin Klein,” he says. “I believe everybody is sexy as they are. You don’t need crazy colors or prints. A good basic underwear can be very sexy.”
Fans may also recognize him from the reality series Revry, which documented parts of his life and entrepreneurial journey. Whether he’s creating music, building a brand, or appearing on screen, On Mekahel approaches each endeavor with the same philosophy: authenticity.
In an entertainment industry that often encourages artists to fit a certain mold, Mekahel says embracing his individuality has been the key to standing out.
“At the beginning, I tried to Americanize myself and sing with the right accent,” he says. “Now I’m embracing everything about myself. My accent, my mistakes, everything. I’m just keeping it real and taking people with me on my adventures.”
When he’s not working, On Mekahel spends time with his husband and their two dogs, although he jokes that married life is a full-time job in itself.
As for the future, he’s focused on completing the rollout of his colorful new EP and connecting with listeners who appreciate his carefree outlook on life.
For On Mekahel, the message is simple: have fun, be yourself, and don’t be afraid to shine in your own color.
