Felipe Osuna is an influencer and a celebrity host I met many years ago In Mazatlán, Mexico. Felipe is a local from there and was kind enough to show us around his hometown. He gave us a bit about the history about Mazatlán, which in Nahuatl means Land of deer. Felipe grew up in a nice family home there and eventually got into show business at a young age and was able to meet, greet and interview many famous celebrities throughout his career. He has traveled all over the world and is happily living a great life with his family and friends. I interviewed Felipe to get to know him a little better.
Tell us a little about you, your first years of life. Where you were born and and grew up, a little family history.
My name is Felipe Osuna, I was born in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, Mexico. My parents are Ramona Osuna González and Felipe Osuna Tiznado. I also grew up in Mazatlán, in a family with two brothers and a sister. I had a very happy childhood. Being a child in the 1990s was something very fun; it was a different era in Mexico and especially in small cities people lived differently.
How did you get into entertainment at such an early age?
It was one of the best things that happened to me. I always liked the entertainment and stuff and as a child I loved seeing all the entertainment, cultural and news programs. I always felt that one day I was going to be working in it. So when I had the opportunity, I started knocking on doors here and there. Thank God, I was given my first chance at fourteen years old. I already had knowledge and familiarity with the business, so it worked.
Who were or are some of your inspirations, the people you admire and look up to and why?
There are many people who have inspired me over so many years, so mentioning only one seems unfair. Everyday I recall more people who have contributed something to me. But without a doubt the one that made the biggest impression on me for her tireless work as a journalist and writer is Oriana Fallacci, who has had an impressive career.
How was it interviewing the first celebrity?
To the first celebrity I interviewed was Mexican singer Ana Barbara. I was 15 years old and she was promoting an album called “Te regalo la lluvia”. It was a super interview because she was super cute, was very friendly and open. The truth is that for me it was not difficult to do because I was a journalist, so I enjoyed it and I did the best I could.
How was it on television for the first time?
I started working on television after working for eight years as a print reporter for a newspaper, so I had already been in that field for many years. However, being on television gives you exposure that no other medium gives you at least at that time. So it was something very interesting, because many people thought that I had just three days in the media and that was not the case. Television allowed me to reach a larger number of audiences in my community.
Who have been some of the most important names that you have known or interviewed?
I have had the opportunity to interview hundreds of characters from the entertainment world, such as Banda El Recodo, Vicente Fernández, Jenni Rivera, Joan Sebastian, Marco Antonio Solis, to name a few. I met Juan Gabriel although I did not interview him. I’ve been at events with stars like Thalia, Jennifer Lopez, Paris Hilton, Shakira, and Gloria Estefan. The entertainment world is really extraordinary. There is an interview that I love and I did with Nick Bufficik and there are so many great moments.
Is there a celebrity that you have not interviewed or met that you would like to get to know?
Well, there are really many that are missing. I would love to do a long interview with Veronica Castro, who is one of the most beloved stars internationally. I would also love to interview Pedro Almodóvar who is my favorite film director and there are many more. I’d like to interview as many as possible.
Where do you see yourself in ten years?
I see myself working on what I like to do, living my dreams, as I have till now and being healthy, strong and happy.
Are you dating someone, someone special out there?
Not at this time, but I have always been fortunate to have great people in my life.
What are your hobbies, things you do to have fun in your free time?
I love traveling. It’s something that I’m a little addicted to. I love reading, listening to music, seeing my friends and spending good times with them.
How would you like to be remembered?
As a happy man, as a good person, and as a human being who always tried to help his fellow men.
Any last words that you like to say or add?

Felipe Osuna es un influencer y presentador de televisión famoso que conocí hace muchos años en Mazatlán, México. Felipe es un local de allí y fue lo suficientemente amable como para mostrarnos su ciudad natal. Nos dio un poco de historia sobre Mazatlán, que en náhuatl significa “Tierra de venados”. Felipe creció en una bonita casa familiar allí y eventualmente se introdujo en el mundo del espectáculo a una edad temprana, logrando conocer, saludar e entrevistar a muchas celebridades famosas a lo largo de su carrera.
Ha viajado por todo el mundo y actualmente vive felizmente una vida maravillosa con su familia y amigos. Esta vez fui yo quien entrevistó a Felipe para que los lectores pudieran conocer quién es Felipe Osuna.
1. Cuéntanos un poco sobre ti, tus primeros años de vida. Donde naciste y creciste, un poco de historia familiar.
Me llamo Felipe Osuna, nací en Mazatlán, Sinaloa, México, mis padres son los señores Ramona Osuna González y Felipe Osuna Tiznado, crecí en Mazatlán, en una familia de 2 hermanos y una hermana, y fui un niño muy feliz, me toco ser un niño en la década de los 90, por lo que fue algo muy divertido, era otra época, en la que en México y sobre todo en las ciudades pequeñas se vivía diferente.
2. ¿Cómo entraste en el campo del entretenimiento a una edad tan temprana?
Fue una de las mejores cosas que me ha pasado en la vida, siempre me gustó la farándula, de niño me encantaba ver todos los programas de entretenimiento, culturales y noticias, y yo decía que algún día, yo iba a estar ahí trabajando, entonces cuando pude buscar una oportunidad, comencé a tocar puertas por aquí y por allá, y gracias Dios, me dieron mi primera oportunidad a los catorce años, por que yo ya tenia una vocación muy marcada.
3. ¿Quiénes fueron o son algunas de tus inspiraciones, las personas a las que admiras y miras hacia arriba y por qué?
Son muchas las personas que me han inspirado a lo largo de tantos años, mencionar a una sola me parece injusto, ademas cada día descubro mas personas que tienen algo aportarte. Pero sin duda una de las que mas me ha marcado por su incansable trabajo como periodista y escritora es Oriana Fallacci, quien tuvo una trayectoria impresionante.
4. ¿Cómo fue entrevistar a tu primera celebridad ?
A la primera celebridad que entrevisté fue a la cantante mexicana Ana Barbara, yo tenía 15 años y ella promocionaba un disco que se llamaba “Te regalo la lluvia” fue una super entrevista por que ella se portó super linda, fue muy amable y accesible, la verdad es que para mi no fue nada difícil por que yo tenia vocación de periodista, entonces lo disfruté y lo hice lo mejor que pude.
¿Como fue estar en la televisión por primera vez?
Comencé a trabajar en televisión después de trabajar 8 años como reportero de prensa escrita para un periódico, así que ya tenia muchos años en el medio, sin embargo estar en televisión, te da una exposición que no te la da ningún otro medio, al menos en aquel momento, así que fue algo muy curioso, por que mucha gente pensaba que yo tenia 3 días en los medios y no era así, la televisión me permitió llegar a una cantidad mas grande de publico en mi comunidad.
5. ¿Quiénes han sido algunos de los nombres más importantes que has conocido o entrevistado?
He tenido la oportunidad de entrevistar a cientos de personajes del mundo del espectáculo, Banda El Recodo, Vicente Fernández, Jenni Rivera, Joan Sebastian, Marco Antonio Solis, conocí a Juan Gabriel aunque a el no lo entrevisté, estar en eventos con estrellas como Thalia, Jennifer Lopez, Paris Hilton, Shakira, Gloria Estefan, el mundo del espectáculo es realmente extraordinario. Hay una entrevista que me encanta y se la hice al motivador Nick Bujicik, son tantos grandes momentos.
6. ¿Hay alguna celebridad que no hayas entrevistado o conocido que también te gustaría?
Bueno realmente son muchas las que me faltan, me encantaría hacer una entrevista larga con Veronica Castro, que es una de las estrellas mas queridas del espectáculo internacional. También me encantaría entrevistar a Pedro Almodóvar que es mi director de cine favorito y a muchos mas, tantos como sea posible.
7. ¿Dónde te ves dentro de diez años?
Me veo trabajando en lo que me gusta, realizando mis sueños, como hasta ahora, me veo sano, fuerte y feliz.
8. ¿Estás saliendo con alguien, alguien especial por ahí?
En este momento no, pero siempre he tenido la fortuna de tener grandes personas en mi vida.
9. ¿Cuáles son tus aficiones, cosas que haces para divertirte en tu tiempo libre?
Me encanta viajar, es algo de lo que me he hecho un poco adicto, me encanta leer, escuchar musica, ver a mis amigos y pasar buenos ratos con ellos.
10. ¿Cómo te gustaría que te recordaran?
Como un hombre feliz, como una buena persona, y como un ser humano que siempre trato de ayudar a sus semejantes.
11. ¿alguna última palabra que te gustará decir o añadir que no haya preguntado?
Primero quisiera darte las gracias por el honor de esta entrevista. Y decirle a las personas que la lean que nunca dejen de perseguir sus sueños y que le agradezcan siempre a Dios por cada momento.
