MULTIVITAMINS

“WHAY DO I FEEL SO TIRED AFTER MY WORKOUT?”
Por/By: Octavio Pozos

Every time I have a first fitness assessment with people that I handle at my gym and talk about a Training Program which includes cardiovascular exercise, strength training, food intake, supplementation and stretching 80% of the time I get an answer: “I’m not taking any multivitamins,” “I do not need a multivitamin” or worse “a Multivitamin makes me fat”, so I want to give you a “heads up.”

The Multivitamins are a combination of nutrients (vitamins, antioxidants and minerals) that are essential for general health and well-being. The body is a Symphony of Chemical reactions, each requiring particular nutrients to occur properly. By ensuring that all of these nutrients are present, the body can function “optimally, resulting in feelings of energy, vitality and health”. Nutrients are essential to every reaction in our body. However, there are some age groups that have greater nutritional needs than others. People who come to the gym and sweat DEPLETE these vitamins and minerals more than a sedentary person, a reason why exercising WITHOUT a multivitamin will make you even more tired…People who have BAD nutrition need a Multivitamin.

Women, kids and teenagers…
Growing bodies are working hard to create new cells while still maintaining energy and health in existing cells. As a result, they are in great need of essential vitamins and minerals. Children, teenagers, athletes and pregnant women’s bodies face these growing nutritional challenges. A Multivitamin can offer all of the vitamins and minerals needed to promote healthy growth.

Another area of the body that experiences rapid growth is the Immune System. During the invasion of an infectious microbe, the ability of white blood cells to rapidly multiply is drastically affected by nutritional status. Multivitamins have been shown to enhance many aspects of the immune response.  This is an important reason to consider taking multivitamins during this COVID-19 Virus.  The weaker your immune system you could perhaps be more at risk of being infected or fighting off the virus if you become exposed.

Adults
Adults also need Multivitamins. In your 20s, ensuring your diet contains lots of vitamins and minerals can correct any nutritional deficiencies you have developed in your teens and reduce your risk of developing long-term deficiencies such as osteoporosis. In your 30s, running after the kids and trying to manage a career can cause you to reach for convenience foods (fast food), which lack essential nutrients.

A Multivitamin can help address the potential nutrient deficiencies. In your 40s, fine lines start to appear and a desire to focus on anti-aging emerges. The antioxidant power available in a Multivitamin can help prevent the aging damage caused by free radicals in the body.

Here are some suggestions to consider in Multivitamins, all are excellent, most of the Multivitamins comes in pills, but only ONE is Liquid for those people who can’t swallow a pill.

1. MULTINUTRIENT
by Bluebonnet.
This Liquid vitamin gets most of their ingredients by a Whole Food-Based from vegetables and Fruits…containing Vitamins A, C, D, E and Vitamin B12… For some clients that can’t swallow a vitamin pill this is a better option.

2. MEN’S MULTI
by garden of Life.
Another excellent Whole Food Organic Vitamin containing Vitamin A, C, D, E, K, vitamin B6, B12 and antioxidants. Here you have to take two pills at breakfast.

3. MULTIVITAMIN FORMULA
by American Health.
This one also has vitamin A, C, D, E, Thiamin, vitamin B6, vitamin12, zinc and chromium picolinate. Here also you have to take two pills at breakfast.

4. MULTIVITAMIN VM-75
by Solgar Vitamins.
This is my FAVORITE.  I have been taking this one for 25 Years, lots of vitamins, minerals, B 12, antioxidants, choline, zinc and manganese. This you take one pill at breakfast.

Please remember that you also have to eat healthy and the Multivitamin will assist you in any deficiency from the food you intake. Go to a good supplement store and ask them to explain to you the options… I promise you will look and feel better.

Blessings….
